The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a beautiful 2nd chance at first love story. I wasn't sure when I first started reading this what to expect. I was confused a little bit by Annika's character until I got to know her better. Then it all made more sense. The characters in the novel were totally likeable. I loved Janice. She was just such an amazing friend to Annika. We need more people in this world like Janice. I will say that I noticed the dates at the top of each chapter and was feeling a little stressed throughout the entire book because of the proximity to the time table of a national tragedy. I'll just leave it at that.
Overall I just really loved getting lost in this story. I wanted to keep reading. I kept rooting for Annika and for Jonathan. I cried a lot (not really surprising knowing me, but still...) It was just a love you wanted to cheer for and wanted it to work out. You just want everyone to be happy. :) Sometimes to get the happy ending there's some hell to go through first.
